THE SIX~POINTED STAR

THE MARK OF THE BEAST

by

Janet Moser

And he causeth all, both small and great,

Rich and poor, free and bond,

To receive a mark on their right hand,

Or on their forehead.

And that no man might buy or sell,

Save that he had the mark,

Or the name of the beast,

Or the number of his name.*

Revelation 13:16,17

FOREWORD

And I saw…them that had gotten the victory over the beast,

And over his image and over his mark…

This study is dedicated to those overcomers during the Great Tribulation period who, because of their love for the Lord and His Word would will lose their lives rather than take the Mark of the Beast. They will be the true heroes of the Tribulation period, whom God will richly reward.

"…and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which did not do homage to the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their forehead, or upon their hand; and THEY LIVED AND REIGNED WITH CHRIST A THOUSAND YEARS." (Rev. 20:4)*
Many Jews and Christians have been deceived by Jewish Kabbalists who would have them believe that the six-pointed star is a Jewish symbol. Nothing could be further from the truth. It is not a Jewish symbol, but an occult symbol. The six-pointed star is a hexagram - a curse mark - no matter what name it may have: the Star of David, Solomon's Seal, Double Triangle, Shield of David, etc.  When the occult practitioner puts a curse on someone, he uses the hexagram!

It is not our goal to condemn the Jewish people, but to condemn the six-pointed star, a curse mark.

"Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved. For I bear them record, that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge." (Rev. 10:1,2)

"But ye have born the tabernacle of your Moloch, and Chiun (Remphan) your images, the STAR OF YOUR GOD, which ye made to yourselves." (Amos 5:26-27)

It is our hope that, during the seven years of the Great Tribulation, the Lord will use this report to show the Jewish people that the six-pointed star is the mark of the beast; and that, with this understanding, many will reject the mark when it comes.

"I will stand upon my watch and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me, and what I will answer when I am reproved. And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because IT WILL SURELY COME, it will not tarry." (Hab. 2:1-3)

PART I

INTRODUCTION

A.    RESEARCH PROCESS USED TO DISCOVER THE MARK OF THE BEAST

Based on five principles, our study will demonstrate that the six-pointed star fulfills all requirements of the Mark of the Beast.
1.    The study of prophecy covers the past, the present, and the future.
"Write the things which thou HAST SEEN, and the things which ARE, and the things which SHALL BE." (Rev. 1:19)
2.    Understanding the future depends upon understanding the past.
"The thing that HATH BEEN, is that which SHALL BE; and that which IS DONE is that which shall be done: and whereof it may be said, See, this is new? It hath been already of old time, which was before us." (Eccl. 1:9,10)
3.    Scripture helps us to understand the past.
"All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: THAT THE MAN OF GOD MAY BE PERFECT, THOROUGHLY FURNISHED UNTO ALL GOOD WORKS." (II Tim. 3:16,17)
4.    Understanding mythology helps us to understand the end-time deception.
"For the time will come when they shall not endure sound doctrine, but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables." (Gr. muthos, or myths)" (II Tim. 4:3,4)
5.    God gives His people discernment to understand the future.
"Call unto me and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things which thou knowest not." (Jer. 33:3)
B.    RELEVANCE OF UNDERSTANDING THE MARK OF THE BEAST
1.    If we are able to understand Bible prophecy, we must be very close to the time of the end.
"…the words are closed up and sealed TILL THE TIME OF THE END…and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand." (Dan 12:9,10)
2.    Those who understand will not be deceived by the mark, but will learn to recognize it and discern those who are promoting it.
"Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own steadfastness." (II Pet. 3:17)
3.    The mark of the beast affects the eternal destiny of all who are living during the Great Tribulation period of the end times.
"And the smoke of their TORMENT ascendeth up FOREVER and ever; and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever RECEIVETH THE MARK OF HIS NAME." (Rev. 14:11)
"And I saw…the souls of them that were beheaded…which did not do homage to the beast, neither his image, NEITHER HAD RECEIVED HIS MARK upon their forehead, or upon their hand; and they LIVED AND REIGNED with Christ a thousand years." (Rev. 20:4)*

C.    RESPONSIBILITY AFTER UNDERSTANDING THE MARK OF THE BEAST

"And I saw...them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image and over his mark..." (Rev. 15:2)
1.    They will obey God's commands (Do not take the mark).
"The secret things belong unto the Lord our God: but those things which are revealed belong to us and to our children, that we may DO all the words of this law. (Deut. 29:29)

"He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the CHURCHES." (Rev. 2:29)

"...Hear, O Israel, the statutes and judgments which I speak in your ears this day, that ye may LEARN THEM, and KEEP, AND DO THEM." (Deut. 5:1)

"THOU SHALT NOT MAKE UNTO THEE ANY GRAVEN IMAGE, OR ANY LIKENESS OF ANY THING THAT IS IN THE HEAVEN ABOVE, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth." (Ex. 20:4)

"...neither shall ye use enchantment... Ye shall not make any CUTTINGS IN YOUR FLESH... nor PRINT ANY MARKS UPON YOU: I am the Lord." (Lev. 19:26, 28)

2.    They will help others to understand by revealing the mark.
"And they that understand among the people shall instruct many..." (Dan. 11:33)

D.    RESOURCES USED TO PROVE THE MARK OF THE BEAST

1.    Scripture
a.    The Interlinear Greek English New Testament: King James Version is used as the basis for Scripture verses.
b.    New Versions are cited which reveal Satan's agenda.
2.    Occult Sources

E.    REASONS WE BELIEVE THE SIX-POINTED STAR IS THE MARK OF THE BEAST

1.    Scriptural support

        a.    The Greek Textus Receptus

The King James Version does not always follow the Greek Textus Receptus.  The verses pertaining to the mark of the beast are different in each.  Our position is that the Greek Textus Receptus was verbally inspired by God and is the complete revelation of His will for the salvation of men. This was also the belief of the King James translators.  See: The Translator's Preface. The Greek Textus Receptus states that the mark will be on or upon the hand or forehead. The George Ricker Berry Interlinear Greek-English New Testament (Textus Receptus) reads thus:

"And it causes all, the small and the great, and the rich and the poor, and the free and the bondmen, that it should give them a mark ON their right hand, or ON their foreheads; and that no one should be able to buy or to sell, except he who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of its name." (Rev. 13:16-17)

"And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man do homage to the beast and his image, and receive his mark ON his forehead, or UPON his hand, The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name." (Rev. 14:9-10)

Scrivener's Interlinear Greek-English New Testament (1894), which is Beza's Greek Text, also translates the Greek word "epi" as "on":

(Greek/English Interlinear (tr) NT) Revelation 13:16 kai <2532> {AND} poiei <4160> (5719) {IT CAUSES} pantaV <3956> {ALL,} touV <3588> {THE} mikrouV <3398> {SMALL} kai <2532> {AND} touV <3588> {THE} megalouV <3173> {GREAT,} kai <2532> {AND} touV <3588> {THE} plousiouV <4145> {RICH} kai <2532> {AND} touV <3588> {THE} ptwcouV <4434> {POOR,} kai <2532> {AND} touV <3588> {THE} eleuqerouV <1658> {FREE} kai <2532> {AND} touV <3588> {THE} doulouV <1401> {BONDMEN,} ina <2443> {THAT} dwsh <1325> (5661) {IT SHOULD GIVE} autoiV <846> {THEM} caragma <5480> {A MARK} epi <1909> thV <3588> {ON} ceiroV <5495> {HAND} autwn <846> thV <3588> {THEIR} dexiaV <1188> {RIGHT,} h <2228> {OR} epi <1909> twn <3588> {ON} metwpwn <3359> {FOREHEADS} autwn <846> {THEIR;}

Translation of the Greek preposition "epi" is determined by the syntax of the verse. Although "epi" in some contexts may be translated "in," that is not possible in these verses because the Greek article “the” before the noun “hand” in the prepositional phrase “in the hand” renders “hand” in the accusative case. According to Perschbacher’s New Analytical Greek Lexicon (#1909), “‘epi’,...with the acc., upon”. Learn New Testament Greek by John H. Dobson, states “on, on top of” under “Prepositions followed by an accusative case” (p. 186). In other words, when the preposition ‘epi’ is present with a noun in the accusative case, its meaning is "upon, on."  Had God meant "in the hand" or "in the forehead," He would have used a different Greek word - "en" (Strong's 1722).

In Revelation 20:4, in an identical phrase about the mark on the forehead, the King James Version has correctly translated "epi" as "upon":

"And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark UPON their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years."

There is yet another source which confirms that the Mark is placed ON, not IN, the hand or forehead:

       b.    Strong's Concordance
The Greek word for "mark" in these verses is charagma. Strong's Concordance defines this word as a mark that is stamped, branded, imprinted or engraved on the individual's forehead or hand, rather than implanted in the skin.

5480 charagma {khar'-ag-mah} from the same as 5482; TDNT - 9:416,1308; n n

 AV - mark 8, graven 1; 9

 1) a stamp, an imprinted mark
1a) of the mark stamped on the forehead or the right hand as the badge of the followers of the Antichrist
1b) the mark branded upon horses
 2) thing carved, sculpture, graven work
    2a) of idolatrous images

   c.   Biblical Precedents

It is also important to look at precedents in the Scriptures where a visible mark was given to people, such as the mark of Cain and the mark placed on the foreheads of the men of Jerusalem:

And the LORD said unto him, Therefore whosoever slayeth Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold. And the LORD set a mark upon Cain, lest any finding him should kill him.” (Gen. 4:15)

“And the LORD said unto him, Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done in the midst thereof.” (Ezek. 9:4)

There is yet a another consideration which should be taken into account:

  d.    Bible prophecy
The book of Revelation places the mandatory reception of the Mark of the Beast in chapter 13, after the seven seal judgments and seven trumpet judgments have taken place.  Prior to this, Rev. 11:18 refers to nations which have destroyed the earth: "And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged...and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth."
Our report Heeding Bible Prophecy reveals that the occult plan for the New Age is to go "back to the future" -- to revert mankind to the pre-flood days of Noah and ultimately to the Garden of Eden.  The rationale for destroying the earth is the Gnostic belief that the world was created by an evil Demiurge and that the material world is inherently evil.  In order for man to transcend matter, and attain to godhood, the world must be annihilated.  It logically follows that the destruction caused by mankind and the severity of God's judgments will disable the current systems of advanced technology that are required for a microchip implant.  The chip implant, however, will be promoted by the occult societies as a counterfeit mark of the beast during the first half of the Tribulation period. To further deceive, a "false" Antichrist and counterfeit False Prophet will be staged and judged at mid-Tribulation by the true Antichrist, who poses as "The Christ."  At mid-Tribulation, after approximately one half of the world has been decimated, mankind will revert to a sophisticated system of barter and exchange, which is already in place.  The true mark of the beast -- the six-pointed star -- will then be branded as a tattoo upon those who vow their allegiance to Satan at the Luciferic initiation.
2.    Occult sources reveal the Mark of the Beast (Lucifer).

        a.    The great seal (mark) of Lucifer is the six-pointed star.

“I” am that I am the “I” as I am
in you as I am in all things.

“I”give you my peace to mankind
my peace the peace of “I”

“I” made heaven for those who are
worthy to be aware of all of light

“I” made you because of love,
you are my family of the greater whole
of the universe.

My symbol in light is the six pointed
star the star of heaven
this is my great seal.

       b.    The six-pointed star symbolizes man's union with the divine.

In Ritual Magick, the hexagon is called the Seal of Solomon, and represents Divine Union, being composed of a female, watery triangle, and a male, fiery triangle. The traditional elemental triangles of earth, air, water, and fire are derived from the seal. When the points of a hexagram are connected, a hexagon is formed. Kabbalistically, the hexagram represents the Sefirah Tifaret, perfection...

“In the Hindu religion, the hexagram is called the Shatkona, and is equivalent to the symbolism in ritual magick. The Shatkona is the combination of the Shiva kona (trikona, triangle), the symbol of the God Shiva, representing the element of fire, and the Shakti kona, representing the element of water. Together, they represent the union of male and female, and the heart chakra.” - (Hexagram (Shatkona, Seal of Solomon)

The Seal of Solomon is the logo of the Theosophical Society, whose founder, Helena Petrovna Blavatsky (née Helene Hahn von Rottenstern, 1831-91), was a Russian Jewish occultist.  Blavatsky interprets the Theosophical logo esoterically as The double triangle or Solomon’s Seal…

The triangle with its apex upward indicates the male principle, downward the female; the two typifying, at the same time, spirit and matter...

When the six-pointed star is formed of two interlaced equilateral triangles — one light with the apex pointing upward, the other dark with the apex pointing downward, both triangles being symmetrically placed with regard to one central point — and the double figure is surrounded by a circle, the sign represents the universe, spirit and matter, the alpha and omega in the cosmos, and involution and evolution. (Theosophical Glossary)

In Western lore the Pentacle of Solomon was a pentagram or pentangle, called the “druid’s foot” in Briton:

“The Arabs...gave the name of ‘Solomon’s seal’ to the six-pointed star-like figure (see Magen, Dawid) engraved on the bottom of their drinking-cups. It is related in the ‘Arabian Nights’ (ch. xx.) that Sindbad, in his seventh voyage, presented Harun al-Rashid cup on which the ‘table of Solomon’ was represented; and Lane thinks that this was the figure of ‘Solomon’s seal’.... In Western legends, however, it is the pentacle, or ‘druid’s foot,’ that represents the seal. This figure, called by Bishop Kennet the ‘pentangle’ of Solomon, was supposed to have the power of driving away demons. Mephistopheles says to Faust that he is prevented from entering the house by the druid’s foot (‘Drudenfuss’), or pentagram, which guards the threshold (‘Faust’...)...” (Jewish Encyclopedia,  (“Solomon, Seal of”)

“The Drudenfuss (or Drudenfuß), literally ‘drude’s foot’ (also Alpfuss), is the pentagram symbol (in early usage also either a pentagram or a hexagram), believed to ward off demons, explicitly so named in Goethe’s Faust (1808).”

b. In sorcery, the Seal of Solomon is used to conjure familiar spirits, a practice forbidden by God.

The hexagram was used as a ‘stand-by for Magicians and Alchemists. The Sorcerers believed it represented the footprint of a special kind of demon called a ‘trud’, and used it in ceremonies both to call up demons and to keep them away.’” (Gary Jennings, Black Magic, White Magic,... Also Harry E. Wedeck, Treasury of Witchcraft]

The hexagram is used to conjure up demons, making them appear in this dimension to do the bidding of the witch... to place spells and curses on the intended victim.” (The Star of David?)

“When thou art come into the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not learn to do after the abominations of those nations. There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch, Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD: and because of these abominations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee. Thou shalt be perfect with the LORD thy God.” (Deuteronomy. 18:9-13)

      c.    The six-pointed star is considered by occultists to be the Star of Bethlehem which will precede the Advent of the False Christ.

"Immediately after the tribulation of those days...shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven..." (Matt. 24:29-30)

"The Star is the symbol of the perfect life, the perfect balance, of the Christ-man. The six-pointed star is the Star of Bethlehem, which again means the Star of the Son of man...
"The star with the six points represents the star of Light...of brotherhood, the Star of Christ. The love of Christ is represented by this Star.  So, we have in that symbol a representation of the Ancient Wisdom, and the love of Christ, the wisdom and love combined, which is to be realized by humanity in this New Age - the age of Aquarius." - GaiaMind
