The Temple Prostitute


Is there a method to the madness of the Toronto/Pensacola Revival?

A disturbing testimony titled Jesus~The Playful Fiancé which was written by a Toronto Blessing devotee and posted on the Internet [but has been removed] is typical of the pagan initiation rites which frequently turn up in the so-called Latter Rain Revival.  Fasting, oaths / covenants, occult symbols, brotherhoods, loyalty pledges, requirements of obedience to religious superiors are other elements of occult initiations.

In the Masonic Lodges, the levels of initiation are progressive with the purpose of bringing individuals into total enslavement to Lucifer through graduated levels of spiritual bondage.  In similar fashion, the temple prostitutes of heathen religions were united with demons through rites of initiation. In pagan lore, the moral restraint of a young girl, who was compelled to serve as a temple prostitute, was gradually worn down as she entered into a union with a god.

The following account from a Pensacola victim patently demonstrates the low moral tone that has come to characterize this revival.
Well did Jeremiah prophesy ~

For both prophet and priest are profane;
yea, in my house have I found their wickedness.
Jeremiah 23:11


However, there may be a well-planned occult strategy to this seeming madness, even the prospect that adherents of the revival are being mystically prepared for ritual union with demonic beings. Describing the period of the time of His coming in Matt. 24:37, Jesus said, "For as the days of Noe were…" The period in reference is found in Genesis 6, which mentions in verse 2 such unholy unions preceding the flood. The unthinkable thus becomes possible and we must ask whether participants in this occult revival are already passing through initiations which are preliminary to the great Luciferic Initiation.
"Before I had a chance to think about what was happening or be concerned or alarmed by it, I could feel the Lord’s touch gently on my face. He gently stroked my chin. Then He grasped it lightly between His thumb and His fingers and turned my head to look directly into His face. Our eyes met and I was totally undone. There was such love in them that I simply melted. If there had been any shred of resistance in me, it disappeared in that instant. I could feel a canapy of His love surrounding me. It became a physical covering over me. I just knew that if anyone looked at me, they would not be able to see me.. they would see only His love that covered me. I was completely shielded in His love.

"Now is the time, Teresa. I want to wash you and clease you."

"OK, Lord."

"I don’t want you to be uncomfortable while I’m doing this. That is why I have enveloped you in a shield of My love. There is no need for you to be embarassed. Just keep looking into My eyes and this will be very easy for you."

"I immagine that what happened next happened in the spirit. But from my perspective, it seemed like it was physically happening to me. I kept my eyes glued on Jesus’ eyes... not because I was afraid or nervous, but because I was so overwhelmed by His love and His caring for me. Jesus reached over and began to remove my clothes from me. Soon I was standing before Him totally naked.

"It was not a sensual or sexual thing in any way. I was not embarassed or ashamed. I knew He was seeing me exactly how I was ... there were no facades or masks or excuses between us. There was no place to hide my weaknesses, my faults, my doubts. Yet He loved me. The truth of who I am was completely revealed before Him... He saw me exactly as I am and He fully loved and accepted me. The expression in His eyes towards me did not change at all through this whole experience.

"You are revealed before me, but at the same time you are cloaked in My love." I realized He was refering to the cloud of witnesses that surrounded me. I knew that they knew what He was doing with me... yet I was not naked and exposed before them. When they looked at me, they say a cloak of Jesus’ love covering me. I had forgotten them until the Lord brougth them up, but I was not embarassed or uncomfortable in any way. I kept my eyes glued to His eyes and did not look around. What could possibly be more wonderful to look at that what I was already seeing? His love continued to pour over me.

"Remember how I told you that I wanted to wash you and make you clean?"

"I nodded.

"Now is the time. Let me wash you." Then He did wash me.. every part of me. He washed my face, behind my neck, down my arms, over my whole body. When He got to my feet, He tickled the bottom of one of them. That was the last thing I was expecting Him to do. I laughed and pulled my foot away.

"Remember," His eyes sparkeled, "I told you I was coming to you as your ‘playful fiance.’" He laughed and I was lost in that laughter. I felt more alive and cleaner than in a very very long time. Then He washed my other foot, tickling it as well.

"Now that you are washed and clean, it is time to clothe you in a robe of My righteousness." He held a white garment, sort of wadded up so that I could not really see it well.

The exoteric (overt) purpose of phallic initiation rites is the union of the sexual and spiritual. In occult doctrine, however, it is the esoteric (covert) purpose which is accomplished -- the union of the human with the "god." In Biblical terms, this is demon possession. Follow Promise Keepers' theologian, Robert Hicks, as he subtly leads the reader of The Masculine Journey from uncritical acceptance the exoteric meaning to the radical esoteric concept of the sacred prostitute:

"In modern culture the phallus has been separated from spiritual categories. In some of the religious circles I have traveled in, men and women view the phallus as a spiritual liability. Women sort of tolerate or joke about the phallus functions in men, and in the church it is a rare cleric who gives any clarification to men on how the phallus should be understood and used. The silence says as much as the overt messages. The phallus is not a spiritual subject to be discussed alongside God, the Church and more 'spiritual' doctrines.   "This division of sexuality and spirituality is rather recent in the history of religious experience. In most pagan societies, sexuality is seen as an important aspect of uniting the spiritual with the physical and with the worship of gods and goddesses. In may cities, sacred prostitutes 'served' at the temples in order to be the mediatrix between the gods and humans. One writer notes,

"'The 'heiros gamos,' the sacred prostitute was the votary chosen to embody the goddess. She was the goddess' fertile womb, her passion and her erotic nature. In the union with the god, embodied by the reigning monarch, she assured the fertility and well-being of the land and the people. . . she did not make love in order to obtain admiration or devotion from the man who came to her, for often she remained veiled and anonymous; her raison d'être was to worship the goddess in lovemaking, thereby bringing the goddess love into the human sphere. In this union -- the union of masculine and feminine, spiritual and physical -- the personal as transcended and the divine entered in. As the embodiment of the goddess in the mystical union of the sacred marriage, the sacred prostitute aroused the male and was the receptacle for his passion . . . The sacred prostitute was the holy vessel wherein chthonic and spiritual forces united.'" (pp. 52-53)

 According to Webster's dictionary "chthonian" is a Greek word meaning "in or under the earth... Designating, or relating to gods or spirits of the underworld, esp. gods of the Greeks." The Theosophical Glossary denotes Chthonia as "Chaotic earth in the Hellenic cosmogony." From the preceding explanation of "spiritual union" in The Feminine Journey, Robert and Cynthia Hicks gradually lead the reader to a glamorized description of the unsavory details of the initiation of young women as temple prostitutes. This initiation is, in fact, a consummation with a demon as the following description reveals: "The first stage of initiation… begins with the preliminaries of prayer, the ritual meal and purification. The second stage is entrance into the underworld, showing half-human, half beast satyrs and Silenus, a fat old drunken man. With the loosening of consciousness, the initiate entered the world of instincts and wisdom far from rational safety. The painting depicts fear in the initiate's face, and her position suggests that she wishes to escape; yet she drinks of the Dionysian wine held by Silenus.   In each successive stage the initiate is less clothed, as if she were divesting herself of old roles in order to receive a new image of herself. In the final stage a winnowing basket containing the ritual phallus is unveiled to her; she is now able to look upon the fertilizing power of the god, a primal regenerative force...   ... The final scene shows the initiate beautiful dressed and adorned. She grooms herself in the mirror of Eros, which reflects her feminine nature of relatedness. She has entered into and experienced, and now embodies, the sacred marriage of Ariadne and Dionysus. There are two additional problems with this experiential account of being "slain in the spirit", other than the fact that it does not magnify Jesus Christ.

It is unlikely lady saw the true Jesus Christ. This is because the Bible seems to say that the days would come when men would long to "see" Christ, but that he would not be seen until He comes in glory.

 
Luke 17:22-24

22 Then he said to his disciples, "The time is coming when you will long to see one of the days of the Son of Man, but you will not see it. 23 Men will tell you, ‘There he is!’ or ‘Here he is!’ Do not go running off after them. 24 For the Son of Man in his day will be like the lightning, which flashes and lights up the sky from one end to the other.

Paul was the last apostle to see the risen Lord. It is very likely that any subsequent sightings of Jesus are apparitions, on the same scale as Marian apparitions. I have no doubt that Jesus Christ could appear to people in visions, but I am very suspicious of all the people in the Third Wave who claim to be seeing visions and apparitions of Jesus Christ appearing to them. "You will see me not more." What is your opinion on this?

There is only one way that a person can be washed from sin. Cleansing from sin is not from a shaking, or a spirit shower, or a tickling. It is only by the blood of Jesus Christ, shed by the man who knew no sin who was made sin for us. I saw no mention of the blood of Jesus Christ in this account.
 

1Jo 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.

Heb 9:14 How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death, so that we may serve the living God!
 

 I have heard this many, many times about people getting washed or deep cleaning by this false anointing. This is not Biblical at all and is intended to replace and counterfeit the true work of the Holy Spirit which is to bring us to the foot of the cross to be sprinkled by the blood of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, the only Son of God.

The theme for the Third Annual Celebration of the birth of Seattle Revival Center, "You Haven’t Seen Anything Yet!" was more appropriate than any imagined. During the conference, the leadership of SRC met to affirm that God was calling these men to pass leadership of the Center to others in order to move into a greater dimension of ministry for past leadership and SRC. Wayne Anderson, Steve Richard and Darrel Stott have increasingly been called to America and the nations, necessitating a change in local leadership of SRC.

In a highly emotional and dramatic "passing of the torch" ceremony, the three founders of Seattle Revival Center gathered with new leadership at a "Knights of the Round Table." During an exchange of Celtic swords, the Holy Spirit moved powerfully on the entire group, confirming the direction of God. Stacey Campbell, of Kelowna, B.C. followed, and prophecied an increase and enlargement of the effect and impact of Seattle Revival Center both regionally and in the world.

New leadership includes Kevin Holland, with a Nazarene background, pastor of Covington Christian Center, Seattle, Steve Meyering, Independent Charismatic pastor at SeaTac Worship Center, Seattle, Nick Lewis, a Church of God pastor from Olympia, Rich Carey, pastor of Eagle’s Nest, Blackfoot, Idaho and Greg Austin, an Assemblies of God pastor at Lake Boren Christian Center, where Darrel Stott previously pastored.

Celtic/Revival Connections


There is abundant information on the Internet in regards to the Celtic folk religion, which is not the harmless superstition many believe, but the most barbaric heathenism which has spread its net over the world primarily through the Scottish Rite of Freemasonry.  A few of the more informational sites connecting the pieces of the Rosicrucian puzzle:

Among all things weird and wonderful which belong to Celtic folk lore is the phallic Stone of Destiny which "roars" or "shrieks" when the rightful heir to the throne lights upon it.

Could the following possibly be the image to the beast which did speak, of which John wrote in the Book of Revelation?

And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.  And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.  And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men, And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live. And is this phenomenon also related to the "roaring" so prevalent in the Toronto Blessing/Pensacola Revival? Beltane, the largest festival of the Celtic religion, is characterized by sexual rites and human sacrifice. Beltane was the day on which Baal rose from the Underworld.  The pagan rites of Beltane were celebrated on "hills" such as Tara Hill, which was known as the "spiritual capitol of Ireland."  Such hills are "sacred sites" and are the modern equivalent of the "high places" condemned by God in the Old Testament. The Spokane Pagan Alliance does not mention online the human sacrifices that occur on Beltane (for obvious reasons), but it does elaborate on the sexual promiscuity encouraged among the Celts at this feast:
"Beltaine or May Day ushers in the fifth month of the modern calendar year, the month of May. This month is named in honor of the goddess Maia, originally a Greek mountain nymph, later identified as the most beautiful of the Seven Sisters of the Pleiades. By Zeus, she is the mother of Hermes, the god of magic. Maia's parents were Atlas and a sea nymph, Pleione.

"By Celtic reckoning, the actual Beltaine celebration begins on sundown of the preceding day, April 30, because the Celts always figured their from sundown to sundown. And sundown was the proper time for Druids to kindle the great Bel-fires on the tops of the nearest beacon hill (such as Tara Hill, Co. Meath, in Ireland). These 'need-fires' had healing properties, and sky-clad Witches would jump through the flames to ensure protection. Other May Day customs include: walking the circuit of one's property ('beating the bounds'), archery tournaments, morris dances, sword dances, feasting, music, drinking, and maidens bathing their faces in the dew of May morning to retain their youthful beauty.

"In the words of Witchcraft writers Janet and Stewart Farrar, the Beltaine celebration was principally a time of '...unashamed human sexuality and fertility.' Such associations include the obvious phallic symbolism of the Maypole and riding the hobby horse, a reference to the annual ride of 'Lady Godiva' though Coventry. Every year for nearly three centuries, a sky-clad village maiden (elected Queen of the May) enacted this Pagan rite, until the Puritans put an end to the custom.

"The Puritans, in fact, reacted with pious horror to most of the May Day rites, even making Maypoles illegal in 1644. They especially attempted to suppress the 'greenwood marriages' of young men and women who spent the entire night in the forest, staying out to greet the May sunrise, and bringing back boughs of flowers and garlands to decorate the village the next morning. Puritans complained that, of the girls who go into the woods, 'not the least one of them comes home again a virgin.'

"Long after the Christian form of marriage (with its insistence on sexual monogamy) had replaced the older Pagan hand fasting, the rules of strict fidelity were always relaxed for the May Eve rites. Names such as Robin Hood, Maid Marian, and Little John played an important part in May Day folklore, often used as titles for the dramatis personae of the celebrations. And modern surnames such as Robinson, Hodson, Johnson, and Godkin may attest to some distant May Eve spent in the woods. But for most, it is May 1st that is the great holiday of flowers, Maypoles, and greenwood frivolity."

Julius Caesar wrote of the human sacrifices conducted by the Druids, who were the high priests of the Celtic religion:
"The whole nation of the Gauls is greatly devoted to ritual observances, and for that reason those who are smitten with the more grievous maladies and who are engaged in the perils of battle either sacrifice human victims or vow so to do, employing the druids as ministers for such sacrifices. They believe, in effect, that, unless for a man's life a man's life be paid, the majesty of the immortal gods may not be appeased; and in public, as in private life they observe an ordinance of sacrifices of the same kind. Others use figures of immense size whose limbs, woven out of twigs, they fill with living men and set on fire, and the men perish in a sheet of flame. They believe that the execution of those who have been caught in the act of theft or robbery or some crime is more pleasing to the immortal gods; but when the supply of such fails they resort to the execution even of the innocent."
Today human sacrifices are also offered by modern Druids, The High Priests of Eugenics at the Bohemian Grove

For information on the Celtic religion, the following web sites are real eye-openers. Here you will find many of the strange terms that are also showing up in the revival: i.e, warrior, knights, initiations, swords, etc.

Popular movies such as Braveheart and Lion King, and Grail movies such as Indiana Jones have been systematically indoctrinating the masses with Scottish occult lore. In a Scottish TV series called Highlander, the hero usually beheads someone with his sword in the final scene.

Preceding this Merovingian propaganda was the Mary Stewart series of novels about King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table. The Grail books that are currently popular attempt to establish the legitimacy of the Merovingian bloodline, paving the way for the world ruler "Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called god, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God." (II Thess. 2:4)

It seems that an impersonator of Michael the Archangel will be a key figure in the unfolding of Bible prophecy, since many pagan cults like the Jehovah's Witnesses regard him to be Jesus. Recall that "The Michael" who finally accedes to the temple throne will be considered to be the incarnation of Michael the Archangel. true love."
